GENERAL TIPS

• CHECK YOUR TICKETS FIRST THING EACH DAY - you can only hold 12 and will lose them if you go over!

• Furnishing plans for the event Writs can be purchased from NPC crafting merchants such as Carpenters, Blacksmiths and Clothiers - DO NOT BUY FROM GUILD TRADERS AT UNRULY PRICES!

• Before you buy from the Impresario, test the drop rate of goodies from the reward boxes - tickets are valuable so save them for the things that don't drop if you can!

• Don’t forget to check the achievements section of your journal to see all the event related achievements and how to complete them - during this event you can earn a dye, skin, title and unlock the ability to purchase a couple event achievement furnishings

• Short on heartwood to complete your charity writs? Buying from a guild trader will be expensive this time of year. Heartwood has a chance to drop from farming wood, so if you’re looking for the less expensive option get your axe out and hit the new player zones for the largest amount of resource nodes (Stros M’kai, Khenarthi's Roost, Bleakrock Isle - even Coldharbour can have some good resource farming)

MAKE SOME COIN​

• Not a houser? Enjoy gold? This is a great time to sell heartwood at a premium! The writs typically require a decent amount of heartwood so players will be out there buying at some of the highest prices of the year! Easy way to make some extra coin.

• Writs will sell well during the event, so if you’re done with your achievements or not interested in the skin you can sell writs quickly and for a decent price.

• Don’t sell style pages and runeboxes now if you’re looking to make the most gold. The market will be saturated. If you’re up for the long game, hold on to them until summer and prices will go up significantly as the market is likely depleted of the excess inventory.

MOAR XP, MOAR LEVELS

• Complete all your Master Writs during this event! Take advantage of the double XP from the event and pair it with a 150% XP Scroll or a Mythic Aetherial Ambrosia to power level!

TIME HAX

• You can port outside of your Enchanted Snow Globe if you own it for a quick way to land yourself right inside the New Life Festival tent.

• War Orphan’s Sojourn quest: for the quickest completion, when given the option donate gold to the war orphan fund - this will save you from having to kill five enemies in the area

• Fish Boon Feast quest: You can complete this quest without needing to fish. You can acquire the fish from another player, retrieve extras from your bank or bag from previous days, so save your leftovers!

• Stonetooth Bash quest: The quest directs you to two hunting areas, but you can go anywhere on the island. Rabbits, rats, Mudcrabs or Wolves killed anywhere in Betnikh will provide you with Mystery Meat and any Wasps or Wasp Nests will provide Honeycomb. The sources can be in short supply in the designated areas with so many people killing them, so it may be faster to hunt elsewhere in Betnikh during busy times!

• Mud Ball Miscreant: Happen to have the quest “The Weight of Three Crowns”? All three alliance leaders are gathered in one place with no guards around - next part of this quest is also in Coldharbour, which has no justice system so no need to worry about getting pinched

ACHIEVEMENT HELP

• Signal Fire Zephyr achievement

  • Having trouble lighting all the fires in the time limit? Boost your speed and increase your stamina! You can remove your heavy armor, use stam based food, wear Ring of the Wild Hunt or other speed boosting gear sets, slot skills that boost speed (be careful using skills that also cause damage unless you want a bounty and trouble from the law), use potions that give you major/minor expedition. You can also group with someone - you’ll be able to light them at the same time!

  • The timer starts when you light the first fire. If you're at the last fire and don't think you're going to make it before the 25 second mark, don't light it! Go back to the quest giver and wait for the timer to run out completely and try again as many times as you want. Otherwise, you'll either have to wait until tomorrow to try again - it’s possible to run out of time to complete the achievement!

• Five-Clawed Cat Burglar achievement: not great at picking locks? There are a variety of addons you can use that can help you finetune your skills - FCO Lockpicker and Circonians TweakIt (setting within the addon)

• Stonetooth Belcher achievement: This achievement requires you to drink the crafted ale. Need Betnikh Twice-Spiked Ale to chug? Ask your guildies or check the guild bank if you are part of the in-game guilds.

• New Life Provisioner achievement: before buying recipes from guild traders or zone chat, ask your guildies first or check the guild bank if you are part of the in-game guilds.

• Skinchanger Style Master achievement: Before buying pages from any source, ask your guildies or check the guild bank if you are part of the in-game guilds.

• Mud Ball Miscreant achievement

  • How in the heck do you throw Mud Balls? Add them to your quick slots, aim and activate!

  • Completing this achievement will give you a minor bounty of around 40 gold. Make sure you don't get caught or get rid of your stolen items beforehand.

  • Did you miss completing this during the festival? You can earn this achievement even when the festival is not currently running, as long as you have Mud Balls available (consumables or memento works)

  • Can’t find the alliance leaders? Their location will depend on where you are at in the main alliance quest lines. Here are the potential places each of these three leaders may be:

      • Skywatch Manor in Skywatch

      • Tanzelwil in western Auridon

      • The Queen's Residence in Marbruk
